Based in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida, Bruce crafts heartfelt songs that take an honest look at issues of faith and relationships. He blends catchy melodies and lyrical flourishes with contemporary sounds to create music that is both musically uplifting and soul-searching.
At an early age, Bruce found success as a concert oboist. He has played principal oboe for numerous ensembles including Pinellas Youth Symphony, Tampa Bay Youth Orchestra, Tampa Bay Symphony, Eight O’Clock Theater Ensemble, and The National Festival Orchestra under the direction of Lukas Foss in Carnegie Hall.
Bruce received notoriety in the music community when members of The Florida Orchestra and Tampa Bay Symphony performed his original, award-winning compositions. He also received the honor of being named musical ambassador for St Petersburg College, taking him to Russia to perform and premiere his original compositions. Throughout high school and college, he found joy in studying oboe and vocal performance, music theory, conducting, and music composition for film.
With the release of his debut record, “Through Glass” (2009), Bruce established himself as an artist to watch in the Christian/Adult Contemporary scene. His EP, “Let Me In” (recently remastered and re-released) demonstrates a mature musical styling and memorable lyrical talent.
